monday night social and rookie leagues

Two formats are offered on Monday nights for the 2019-20 season.

The evening starts at 7:00 p.m.

TBA
Six-End Fun Social:

After receiving feedback from members, the Six-End Fun Social will be offered again in this fall's schedule. This is perfect for those people starting their curling careers and/or people who are still in the workplace and would like to curl but also have time to socialize afterwards.

Sign up as an individual or team.

Help us promote this league and let people know about this fun option.
Rookie Program:

Another option on Monday nights will be the Rookie Program. This is ideal for those who want to try curling. Eight sessions until Christmas for only $100. Instruction followed by game time on the ice. Wayne and Danielle McLeod will be instructing. To register or for more details, contact Danielle at dblahey@sympatico.ca

First 16 participants accepted. Tell your friends and colleagues about this opportunity to try our wonderful sport.

Sparing Fees

The sparing fee for non-members and one night members (curling in another league) is now $10. As well, people can now spare five (5) times in a season before being required to get a membership. (*The sparing fees paid would be deducted from the cost of a full season membership.)

The sparing fee should be collected by the skip who then gives it to the league convenor.

Our curling facility gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Canadian Curling Association through its Curling Assistance Program.
In December 2014, our club President applied for a CAP grant from the CCA (now Curling Canada) in the Bricks and Mortar section. This April our club was one of 16 successful applicants (out of 75) to receive a grant of $8000.00. This plaque will be displayed in our club lounge. Thank you to the CCA (Curling Canada) for this much needed money, which will help defray many of the costs incurred  with our pipe project and other club upgrades.
